‘Overthinking’ (2023)

This series started off by primarily looking into how colour resembles each emotion, i.e. blue means sadness, yellow means happiness. However, after consideration Alyssa realised the idea was too generic. This resulted in 'Overthinking' - the series. Through the use of coloured clothing and props, Alyssa was able to take away from the idea of each associated emotion and allow the viewer to interpret their own views.

The title 'Overthinking' comes from Alyssa constantly overthinking the series so much. It also looks into the idea that the viewers are having to (over) think about the images as it is not always clear what is actually happening in them.
